Safety inspections in region Vysocina

This thesis presents a safety inspection in selected places in the Vysocina region of the Czech Republic. Six intersections in rural and municipal areas, plus three rural road sections were selected for the inspection and an accident rate analysis. The places selected were compared in terms of the accident rate and one case of each group was then selected for a detailed safety inspection encompassing visual inspection and identification of possible hazards. By eliminating such safety hazards, it is possible to ensure a traffic fluency and to preclude traffic accidents or at least minimize the harm caused by it.

Use of the public space of the town Sázava

Téma bakalářské práce je veřejný prostor města Sázavy a sebeprezentace lidí v něm. Hlavní výzkumná otázka zní "Jakým způsobem se sebeprezentuje vedení města Sázavy a lidé, kteří se na dění ve městě nejvíce podílejí a jakým způsobem se tyto sebeprezentace promítají do veřejném prostoru?" K tomu, aby autorka dospěla k zodpovězení hlavní výzkumné otázky, si určila dílčí podotázky. Další podotázky zní "Jaké jsou klíčové veřejné prostory města Sázava a do jakých kategorií spadají a co se na nich odehrává?", "Jak vnímají veřejné prostory obyvatelé města Sázavy?" a "Jaký postoj zaujímají k veřejným prostorům obyvatelé města a jak se na nich sebeprezentují?". K tomu, aby autorka dospěla k odpovědím na výzkumné otázky, nejprve téma práce ukotvila v teorii a vycházela z odborné literatury vztahující se k tématu. Druhá část práce se zabývá samotným výzkumem. Ve výzkumu byla použita kombinace kvantitativních a kvalitativních metod. Do kvantitativních metod spadá anketa, která byla distribuovaná obyvatelům města a obsahovala otevřené otázky. Do kvalitativních metod spadá zúčastněné pozorování a polostrukturované rozhovory. Autorka dospěla k výsledkům, že se vedení města a lidé, kteří se na dění ve městě nejvíce podílejí se sebeprezentují pomocí zkvalitňování veřejných prostor. Zaměřují se především na ty...

Stone Statue of the Madonna with an Inscription – A Challenge Not Only for Epigraphers. The fragment of the stone Madonna with the Czech inscription „omylostywa” (Oh, Graceful), discovered in the town of Sázava and deposited in the local castle collections (originally a Benedictine monastery), was originally an enthroned Madonna connected to architecture. The drapery composition of the torzo and the inscription letter types enable one to date the statue from about 1400. The question arises of its placement: either in the accessible areas of the monastery or on a house or in a niche (chapel) located along the path leading to the monastery where it was always visible to the faithful who could pray there and venerate it. Furthermore, the hypothesis that indulgences would relate to the Madonna statue cannot be excluded.

Evaluation of historical flood, Sázava River, 1909

This Bachelor thesis deal with the problems of floods on river Sazava. There are described types and characteristic of floods. The thesis sums up methods of historical flood research. It reviews all known floods on Sazava since 1515 up until 2006. While researching these floods, some previous works about Sazava and also historical documents from archives were used. From the found events, the seasonality of floods is made. The floods in 1909 was researched in more detail in the Kacov profile. The cause-factors of the floods and their process are studied closely as is the process of the flood itself. For the Kacov profile, the specific curve was calculated and the flood wave was described. This bachelor thesis is mainly concerned with the design of the Sazava riverfront in Žďár nad Sázavou on the level of architectural study. The theoretical part is generally focused on the river history, anti-flood isssues and various types of public spaces in connection with the river. The current state of urban river issues is documented on selected czech and foreign examples of realizations. The practical part is divided to analytical and design sections. The analytical part and findings obtained from the theoretical part served as a basis for the model area project supported with graphical attachments (platforms, plans, sections, views, isometrics).
